After aiding his side to a fourth place finish at the Christie 7s ,Strathmore Leos’ ace Paul Olal scooped the top try scorer accolade,an award he shared with Cyprian Kuto of Kenya Harlequins.
Johnstone Olindi was named the tournament’s most promising player while Ugandan Solomon Okia of Kenya Harlequins scooped the Most Valuable Player (MVP) gong.
Okia played a pivotal role and even got himself on the score sheet in the final as his side fell 24-19 to Homeboyz.
Meanwhile,despite not being in action at the Christie leg, Mark Wandeto walked home with the overall top try scorer award.
The former Nanyuki Jackals winger crossed the chalk 37 times in the five legs he played.
Mwamba’s Daniel Taabu was named the season’s MVP as well as the top points scorer while Northern Suburbs were feted as the Promising team of the tournament.
Administration Police won the team spirit award.
