Uganda Rugby Cranes have continued with their upward movement in the global rankings as a result of Saturday’s 47-29 hammering of Morocco in a 2019 World Cup qualifier held in Kampala.
According to the updated rankings released by World Rugby on Monday afternoon ,the side has displaced European side Poland and now occupies 35th position after accumulating 50.93 points .
The John Duncan-coached side host Zimbabwe in their final Africa Gold Cup fixture on 18 August.
Meanwhile, Uganda’s Saturday opponents Morocco have dropped three places following the defeat in Kampala.
The Atlas Lions are now ranked 43rd with their place in the Africa Gold Cup hanging on the balance after suffering back to back defeats.
Despite romping to a 67-0 win over Tunisia ,Kenya Simbas remain rooted at 28th position on 56.30 points .
