Tunisia stage comeback to dent Zimbabwe’s World Cup hopes

Tunisia rallied from 7-5 down at half-time to claim a shock 18-14 win over Zimbabwe Sables in an Africa Gold Cup duel staged in Monastir this Saturday 7 July.

The Tunisian’s scored courtesy of three unconverted tries and a solitary penalty against Zimbabwe’s two tries and two penalties.

The result means that Zimbabwe’s World Cup qualification chances are slim as they remain winless in three attempts.

Next in line for Tunisia is an away match against Uganda on 4 August while Zimbabwe hosts Namibia in Harare on the same day.
