Newly appointed Mwamba RFC captain Patrick Ruhiu has hinted on his readiness to take up the responsibilities at the Nairobi based club.
Ruhiu who was announced as the club’s skipper on Tuesday replacing backrower Edwin Machanje in that capacity has termed the appointment as a great privilege.
“There have been some great players who have led Kulabu, so for me to be amongst them is both a great privilege and a great responsibility,” the centre is quoted by the club’s portal.
“With the support of the rest of the senior players in the squad I am confident that we can create something special that our fans can be proud of,” adds Ruhiu.
He will be seeking to steer the side to a much improved perfomance during the 2018/19 Kenya Cup season that starts in September.
