Kenya 7s wins Challenge Trophy in London

Kenya 7s won the Challenge trophy at the London 7s after edging out Wales 33-19 in the final clash staged at the Twickenham stadium this Sunday 3 June.
The win ensures that Shujaa collect 8 points in London bringing their series total to 101 points, the best the side has ever achieved ahead of the final leg in Paris France.
Wales drew first blood, going 7-0 up in the first half before Willy Ambaka drew the sides level with a converted try.
Jeffery Oluoch would hand Kenya the lead for the first time before Wales responded with a converted try of their own to tie the scores.
Billy Odhiambo played in Collins Injera who went over to give Shujaa a 21-14 advantage at the break.
Eden Agero’s five pointer at the start of the second half stretched Kenya’s lead further before Jared Roser responded for Wales.
Jeffery Oluoch’s solo run deep from Kenya’s 22 mark to the tryline at the death was enough to secure Kenya a 33-19 win.
