Impala Saracens coach Frank Ndong’ fancies a home tie in the Kenya Cup playoffs with only two matches remaining to conclude the preliminaries.

The Ngong’ Road based side currently occupies 4th position on the standings and while admitting that they are almost guaranteed a fourth place finish, the tactician has not ruled out the possibility of leapfroging 3rd placed side Kabras Sugar.

“Sometimes we get a little casual after breaks, but we have a plan to enable the players stay within course & could have a friendly match this weekend.”

“Only 2 matches remain in the preliminaries. Arithmetically, we could leapfrog the number 3 team dependent on how they play their next matches. For now, we are sure of the 4th position, but if a chance to jump to 3rd presents itself, we will take it. A home fixture in the Kenya Cup play-off will always be a desired outcome as well,”Ndong’ told the club’s portal

“Our ESS team this year, the Resolution Impala Saracens Boks has had a player shift. Most of the team stalwarts now play in Kenya Cup, but what you have to admire about them is how the team plays.”

“Other teams have stepped up this season & the Boks have had to react to brutality & employ genius tactics to win matches they would have otherwise not come out of winners.”

“The third placed Boks will now go all out in the remaining fixtures in order to secure that comfortable play-off position,” he concluded.
