Kisumu RFC coach Arthur Shikwe cried foul over poor officiating after seeing his charges go down 14-10 to UoE Trojans in a KRU Championship clash on Saturday.
The tactician further blamed the referees strike labelling it as a hinderance to the growth of the game.
“Our structures did not work completely. My players allowed the poor calls by the referee to affect them mentally and that was one of our major undoing,”he told Scrummage.
“The referees strike is really hurting the growth of the game and we can’t make progress with such low quality officiating.”
“We were wrongly penalized during our attack plays and that greatly contributed to the loss,”he concluded.
Kisumu RFC currently occupies 6th position on the Championship log having amassed 17 points after 9 rounds of action.
