Kabras Sugar head coach Charles Cardovillis was full of praise for his charges second half show after a 47-15 win over Kisii RFC in a Kenya Cup round nine tie on Saturday.
The Sugarmillers went to the clash seeking to return to winning ways having fallen to Homeboyz at home a week earlier with the likes of Philip Wokorach who was making his season debut as well as George Nyambua all bagging tries.
“It was an entertaining match of rugby especially for the neutrals.Kisii never sat back and watch us play but they also came firing from all cylinders,”Cardovillis said.
“We were a bit slow in the early stages of the match but we managed to get our rhythm in the second half which helped us bag the huge win.I have to congratulate my players because putting 47 points on board is no mean feat,”he added.
After a one week break, the Kakamega based side travels to Nairobi for a date with holders KCB at the Ruaraka Sports Club on Saturday 24 February starting 1600hrs.
