Kabras bounced back to winning ways with a comfortable 47-15 win over Kisii RFC in a Kenya Cup match staged at Mamboleo Grounds in Kisumu City.
Returning Philip Wokorach got 15 points in clash with 10 coming from conversions.
Kenyan International George Nyambua opened the scoring for the Sugarmen from a maul and Philip Wokorach added the extras for an early 7-0 lead. Kisii made several threat but Kabras defence stood firm.
Kabras managed to double the scores after Pius Ogena’s offload met Roy Shitambasi, and the latter maneuvered past Kisii defence and touched down at the centre. Wokorach this time had an easy task to add the extras.
The final try of the first half saw Joseph Odero score as Wokorach accuracy from the tee continued. In the final half the Ugandan International opened the scores pacing down the right and touched down the fourth try of the game. He rose and converted his own try for a 28-0 lead.
Kisii pulled back with a try from Aggrey Kitoi but their try did not discourage Kabras who continued with their scoring run with try by Hillary Odhiambo. Wokorach converted from a tight angle and that was his last action of the game.
Paul Abuto scored Kabras sixth try and Gathua Andrew who came in for Wokorach did not disappoint from a tight angle. Kabras would add unconverted try before John Ochar scored a penalty for Kisii.
A beautiful move from a line out saw Duncan Bosire score the second try for Kisii but it was too late for them to recover.
