After guiding his charges in handing Kabras their first defeat of the season,Homeboyz coach Paul Murunga heaped praises on the perfomance of the team’s backs.

The Deejays took control of the match in Kakamega from the onset with Murunga adding that settling quickly in the match also played a vital role in their win.

“Our forwards did well so did our backs who had very good runs that helped us dominate Kabras,”Murunga told Scrummage.

The win saw Homeboyz leap frog Kabras to second position on the Kenya Cup log.

“We knew it was always going to be a herculean task against Kabras so we prepared thoroughly and our intention was to quickly settle in the match since we were the away side and I am glad we managed to do that,”the tactician added.

Match day nine will see Murunga’s charges host Blak Blad on Saturday 10 February at the Jamhuri Park starting 1600hrs.
