Strathmore Leos fine run in 2018 continued with a 29-13 victory over Nakuru in a Kenya Cup match played on Saturday.
Kenyan International forward Elkeans Musonye’s converted try gave John Mbai’s charges an early lead. Geoff Ominde responded for Nakuru with two penalties in succession.
The homeside would then add their second try courtesy of Austine Mboya’s try. Gideon Makumi added the extras for 14-6 lead.
Full back Lucas Opal added the third try of for the students for 19-6 lead. Wanyore were then reduced to 13 men following a yellow card to Monate Akwei and Walter Okoth were sent.
The Nakuru based side scored the first try of the game through Charles Odongo. Ominde added the extras but Leos struck again with a converted try to win the game.
