Nationwide side, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) is setting up a 30 million fitness center.
Besides serving the rugby team, the gymnasium also be used by the football, netball and sports science students.
The facility is expected to be complete come April 2018 and Vice Chancellor Professor Fredrick Otieno, a Mean Machine legend believes that the gym will be beneficial to both the students and the sports teams at the school.
“Students need to practice a wide range of skills including instruction, rehabilitation and assessments. The facility will also be used in preparation of university teams participating in football, rugby, and netball,” Otieno told the Star.
MMUST rugby team is chasing a promotion to the second tier come 2018/19 season.
