Rugby just like any other sport has a certain age limit which a player has to call an end to their career and a solid education may be needed as a back up plan.
It is for that reason that Kenya Lionesses star player Sinaida Aura took time to urge young players to invest in a good education so as to easily cater for their needs after retirement.
“Sport talent is not everything. You always need to have a back up plan for when your rugby talent can no longer earn you a living due to injury or age. That back up plan is a solid education,”Aura was quoted on Impala Saracens’ portal.
“Another aspect you need to get right is balance. If you are employed, your boss has sales targets, your coach also has targets,”She added.
“Always remember that you won’t have excuses to slack on either. You will have to cultivate a balance that makes you really good at both,”concluded Aura.
Aura was speaking at the Impala Ladies awards night gala on Wednesday evening where she had been invited as one of the guests.
