Mwamba RFC coach Kevin Wambua expressed his dissatisfaction with the team’s recent poor run of form after Saturday’s loss to Strathmore.
The 27-18 loss to the students at the Lenana school grounds ensured that Kulabu will end the 2017 year winless in the Kenya Cup after four matches.
“Our perfomance against Strathmore was just poor.We made a lot of school boy errors like knock-ons and Strathmore punished us for that,”Wambua told Scrummage.
Mwamba started the season with a 29-15 loss to Kabras before going down to Impala and Sportpesa Quins.
“Iam gutted with the team’s recent run of form because no coach wants to lose four matches in a row so we shall have to sit down as a team and figure out where the problem lies,”he added.
The side currently occupies 11th spot on the 12-team Kenya Cup log, having managed a single losing bonus point which came on the match day one lose away to Kabras in Kakamega.
After the festive break,Wambua’s charges will be seeking to pick their first win when they host fellow strugglers Mombasa RFC on 13 January,2018 at the Railways Club.
