Timothy Makiya bagged a brace of tries to guide Impala Saracens to a 17-12 win over Nondies in a Kenya Cup clash on Saturday,16 December. 

Impala headed to the match seeking to bounce back following last weekend’s 39-21 loss to Homeboyz which saw them relinquish top spot on the log.

Both sides were dealt huge blows in the forsr half after Yassah Musah and Anthony Nyandigisi were shown their marching orders by the centre referee.

The hosts would then take a 12-0 to the interval courtesy of a brace by scintillating youngster Timothy Makiya with Vincent Mose splitting the posts once with a well taken conversion kick.

After the restart,Billy Omondi barged over for Impala’s third try of the match but Xavier Better failed to add the extras as Impala took a 17-0 lead.

Nondies would cut the deficit after the referee awarded them a penalty try before Biko Adema barged over for a five pointer but it was too little too late as Impala held on to claim a 17-12 win.

In the Eric Shirley Shield,Impala Boks survived a Nondies II scare to claim a hard fought 33-32 win.
