KCB made it three wins in three after a 27-12 win over Nakuru RFC in a Kenya Cup round four clash on Saturday,16 December at the Nakuru Athletic Club.
The bankers travelled to Nakuru buoyed by their matchday three 70-16 thumping of university side Blak Blad while Nakuru were out to end a two match winless run.
A tightly contested first half saw KCB take a 10-0 advantage to the break after Darwin Mukidza opened the scoring for the Ruaraka based side with a penalty before converting Nick Ongeri’s touchdown.
Nakuru cut the deficit to 5 points with an unconverted try before Mukidza combined with Peter Kilonzo to tee up Jacob Ojee for the bankers’ second converted try.
Rocky Aguko and Nick Ongeri would score a try each in between a Nakuru RFC converted try as the clash ended with a 27-12 scoreline in favour of KCB.
KCB’s next assignment after the Christmas break will see the side host Homeboyz at the Ruaraka Sports Club on 13 January 2018 as Nakuru welcomes Blak Blad.
