Laiser Hill Academy youngster Clinton Kioko has been nominated for the Sports Personality of the Year award (SOYA) in the schools category.

Kioko was in scintillating form as the side finished as runners up at the national school games held at Nairobi school in August before leading the Kevin Wambua coached side to regional glory at the East Africa School games held in Uganda in August.

Joining Kioko in the nominee list is Muhuri Muchiri 7s player Harmon Wamalwa who put up a sterling perfomance to see the side crowned East African Champions for the first time following a win over Uganda’s Jinja SS in the final.

The two will contend for the award with Lawn Tennis duo of Albert Njogu and Zablon Ekisa as well as Emmanuel Ndonga of swimming.
