Nondies RFC coach Willis Foxx Ojal admitted that Mombasa RFC’s sole try in their 64-5 win over the coastal based side came off their own defensive mistakes.
Heading to the match against Mombasa,Ojal’s charges were in need of a win having lost to Blak Blad and Homeboyz in their first two matches of the season.
In the bonus point win,Moses Begi crossed the chalk twice with the likes of Franz Obudo,Fidel Oloo,Mark Ongayo and Allen Katoni also getting their names onto the scoresheet.
“We knew defence was going to be very key in the match. We wanted to end the match unblemished but they (Mombasa) managed to sneak in one try from our own mistakes, but we are happy with the result,”Ojal told Scrummage.
Matchday four of the Kenya Cup will see the side currently ranked 7th on the Kenya Cup log make a short trip to the Impala Club for a meeting with Impala Saracens.
