Mombasa RFC coach Chris Atingo admitted that their tackling played a pivotal role in the side’s 64-5 loss to Nondies in a Kenya Cup duel on Saturday.

Andrew Asena’s sole try was not enough as the DumesĀ were condemned to their third loss of the season after making a return to the Kenya Cup.

“We missed a lot of tackles and when you do that against a side like Nondies you will definitely pay the price,”Atingo said after the match.

“At some point we did well and actually grabbed a try but i thinkĀ  the boys just switched off and we got punished from our own mistakes,”he added.

Matchday three will see Atingo’s charges host Kabras RFC on Saturday,16 December at the Mombasa Sports Club starting 1600hrs.
