Kenya 7s suffered a huge setback in the bid to reach the Dubai 7s quarter finals after going down 48-5 to South Africa.

Kenya 7s drew first blood as Jeff Oluoch went over the whitewash for an unconverted try before Seabelo Senatla struck a brace to send Neill Powell’s charges 12-0 up.

On the stroke of halftime,South Africa bagged its third try of the match,taking a 17-5 lead to the break.

Senatla sealed his hat-trick with a well taken try after resumption,the Blitzboks taking an unassailable 22-5 advantage.

Shujaa would be dealt a blow as Collins Injera suffered an injury,South Africa piling more miseries to Kenya courtesy of tries by Branco Du Preez,Rosko Specman and Justin Geduld to seal a 48-5 win.

Kenya 7s tackle Uganda in their last match in which only  win will guarantee them a spot in the last eight.Uganda had earlier lost 19-10 to South Africa and 22-17 to Canada.
