Nondies RFC head coach Willis Foxx Ojal said that the conditions of the UoN grounds did not favour his side as they lost to Blak Blad in the Kenya Cup opener last weekend.

The clash which had originally been slated for the Kenyatta University grounds was shifted to UoN due to the fact that the former is currently closed.

Despite controlling the better part of the game, the Jamhuri based side found themselves going down courtesy of a penalty by Levy Amunga and Archadius Kwesa’s try.

“The new guys are still blending in;we are working on cohesion. The pitch conditions did not help us at all in terms of our tactical approach because we could not settle in quickly. We had the bigger share of possession but luck was probably not on our side,”Ojal told Scrummage.

Ojal’s charges face an uphill task during matchday two when they play Homeboyz in the Jamhuri derby starting 1600hrs.
