KCB has started off its Kenya Cup title defence campaign with a 27-0 drubbing of Strathmore Leos this Saturday,25 November in Ruaraka.

The last meeting between the sides played in 2016/17 season saw the bankers claim a comfortable 50-15 win.

KCB ran in four tries,one penalty and two conversions to earn a vital bonus point on matchday one.

Collins Wanjala went over the whitewash for the bankers first try of the match but Elphas Otieno missed the ensuing conversion kick.

Otieno would make amends for his conversion miss as he drilled in a penalty on the stroke of halftime,the defending champions taking a 8-0 lead to the interval.

KCB grabbed an unconverted try after the break before Ken Moseti converted Arthur Owira’s brace to seal a 27-0 win for the Ruaraka-based side.

Earlier in the Eric Shirley Shield, KCB II flattened Strathmore II with a 54-16 scoreline.Matchday two on Saturday 2 December will see KCB visit Kisii RFC as Strathmore Leos make the journey to Kakamega to face Kabras RFC.
