Homeboyz RFC coach Paul Murunga was full of praise for the team’s forward Steve Otieno after his stellar display saw the side finish third at the Floodlit tournament with a 34-22 win over Mean Machine.

The Kenya Simbas international who also hasĀ  several under-20 caps under his belt started the match at position eight,making a great contribution in the match as Homeboyz withstood a resolute Machine side.

“Steve Otieno was quite fantastic in the match against Machine.He played a crucial role in our win,”said Murunga.

Otieno,a Kakamega School and Laiser Hill Academy alumnus will be hoping to continue with his impressive form when the 2017/18 Kenya Cup season kicks off.The Deejays host Sportpesa Quins in a rescheduled fixture on Tuesday,28 November at Jamhuri Park.
