KCB coach Curtis Olago says that he was not impressed with the assistant referees in Saturday’s Impala Floodlit final in which his charges claimed an 18-17 win.
The bankers had to rely on a late try by Elphas Otieno to reclaim the title they last clinched two year’s ago but Olago said that the disappointment with the officials was now behind him after the win.
“I was a bit disappointed with the assistant referees of the match but that is behind us right now.I really thank the boys for the great show of resilience,”Olago told Scrummage.
“Impala is a good side and they did not sit back but brought the game to us.From the scores, you can tell that both sides are quality teams,”he added.
KCB are now set to start their Kenya Cup title defence when they travel to face Strathmore Leos on 25 November in Madaraka.
