Menengai Oilers have set sights on defending the Impala Floodlit title in the universities category.

The Nakuru-based side started off their title defence campaign with a 39-3 win over Mean Machine II before brushing aside TUK with a 29-3 scoreline in the semis and head coach Gibson Weru says that they are on course to defend the title they won last year.

“Iam very optimistic of defending our trophy and I hope we get competitive opposition because I personally like challenges in life,”Weru said.

Oilers are set to tackle Catholic Monks in the Impala Floodlit final next Saturday and a win will see them successfully defend the gong they scooped last year.
