Homeboyz RFC captain Emmanuel Mavala says that the side will go back to the drawing board and rectify on their mistakes that saw them lose to KCB in the Floodlit semis before the start of the new season.

Homeboyz had a chance to claim a late winner in last Saturday’s match but halfback Mohammed Omollo sent his penalty wide as the Deejays bowed out of this year’s Impala Floodlit tournament after a 18-16 loss to KCB and Mavala admits of the toughness that the match came with.

“The weather was not on our side. The match was very tough and we are dissapointed to have lost and we shall go back to the drawing board and work on our discipline in terms of breakdown,”said Mavala.

The Paul Murunga coached side will now shift focus to the 2017/18 Kenya Cup season set to get underway on 25 November when they host Sportpesa Quins at the Jamhuri grounds.
