Homeboyz RFC coach Paul Murunga admits of the difficulty posed by their weekend Floodlit semi final opponents KCB.
The last time the two sides met was back in May during the Enterprise Cup semi finals, a match which the bankers won and Murunga says playing such a good team early provides them with the opportunity to gauge their progress.
“It will be a very tough match because KCB are a good side; defending Kenya Cup and Enterprise Cup champions,”says Murunga.
“At the same time we are relishing the challenge since playing such a big opponent this early enables us to gauge where we are ahead of the 2017/18 season,”he adds.
Enroute the final,Homeboyz rallied to dislodge Sportpesa Quins with a 20-16 scoreline as KCB labored past a resolute Kisii RFC side, beating them 20-14.
The match kicks off at 7:00pm at the Impala grounds with the winner booking a date with either hosts Impala Saracens or university side Mean Machine in the final.
