Menengai Oilers foward,Vincent Oduor has expressed his desire to join the National Rugby 15s Team.
Odour who was named the man of the match where they beat Mean machine II 39-3 in the Impala Flood Tournament has attributed their success to hard work and believing in one’s self.
“We have been working hard, off season we have been training, hitting the gym, recovering and we believe we can take it (defend the varsity title),” Oduor told Impala official site.
The Oilers prop says that he looks up to KCB Rugby and Kenyan International forward Peter Karia.
” Personally my dream is to play for Kenya Simba having some role models like Peter Karia, ” he added.
Odour admitted that their squad misses the presence of Harold Anduvate, Sam Muregi and Eric Ombasa who have joined Kenya 7s set up but he promised that they will work towards giving out the best results.
” Actually we miss people like Ombasa and Harold.We do miss them on the pitch,but all in all we shall represent them well, he concluded.
Oilers will face TUK in the semi final of the Floodlit tournament on Saturday.
