Kenya Cup side Nakuru RFC will hold a fundraiser on Saturday 11 November at the club bases to raise funds towards Mike Okombe’s Burial.
The club has revealed that they are targeting a million shillings and they have urged wellwishers and fans  to continue contributing through paybill number 874900, Account name: Mike, ahead of the fundraiser.
Beside the fundraiser, Wanyore are also planning to sell merchandise to raise cash towards the burial of departed star who will be laid to rest on 18th in Kakamega County.

Nakuru rugby wants to sincerely thank you all for your support and prayers. It shows the love we have for our brother Mike Okombe.
We pray you continue in the same spirit.
The following was discussed in yesterdays meeting.
The funds drive is slow and we need to get much more funds . The target is Kshs One Million. Please continue to send through our mpesa account.
We therefore plan for a funds drive,harambee, on the 11th Saturday at NAC club house.The harambee is to start at 2:30 pm. We are calling out on the fans, supporter, friends and well wishers to come.
 To preceded this we shall worship in CITAM church at 1030 . Please support our team by attending.
We also plan maombolezi partnering with CITAM church  every evening at 5:30 to 6:30 at NAC . The service shall by coordinated  by Harry Mwangi and the pastors.
The club is also looking other avenues of fundraising like t shirts n  hoods. More details shall be provided later.
Today the autopsy shall be carried out with the family ,police and our rugby representatives.
The results shall be relayed if and when necessary.
We shall have a small services  at the valley hospital  at 2.00 before the body departs for kakamega.Please attend to say our goodbye’s.
 The investigations are still ongoing and the police are giving updates to all main stream media and we have not gotten any additional information.
Please assist where necessary and do not spread hate or rumours.
Finally we are appealing for funds to able to complete this daunting tasks ahead.
