“Our target definitely is earning promotion to the 2018/19 Kenya Cup league. We want to play a brand of rugby that has all aspects ranging from skill to physical,”says Weru.

“We want to be the best team in Kenya in the next 3 years (2020) and that is what we have been working towards,”he adds.

Concerning their recent win over Mean Machine II in the Impala Floodlit University category, the coach is full of praise for his charges after they secured a semi final berth with a 39-3 win.

“Our setpiece play was very fantastic. Our forwards really worked well the entire match and that was key in securing us the win,”he concludes.

Oilers will tackle TUK in the Floodlit semi finals on Saturday 11 November as they seek to defend the trophy they won last year.
