Sportpesa Quins head coach Joel Ng’ang’a believes that poor defensive play was their major undoing in the weekend’s 20-16 loss to Homeboyz.

The Ngong Road based side threw away a 13 point advantage at the interval to lose to Homeboyz,a result which saw them relegated to the plate competition at this year’s Impala Floodlit.

“We had a great 1st game of the season. game plan we have worked on during pre-season was successful but for the execution in the last 25 minutes of the game.”Ng’ang’a told Quins Media.

“A lapse in defense cost us but more so not applying pressure and pile in more points. I’m happy with how we played and we will get better though we will tweak a few areas to achieve our goal this season.”he added.

Quins are set to meet Kisii RFC in the plate semi final on Saturday, 11 November at 3:00pm.
