Championship side Menengai Oilers has signed Kabras RFC forward Vincent Mwikhali.
Confirming the signing to Scrummage, head coach Gibson Weru further intimated that they may not make any major signings apart from acquiring youngsters who are transiting from high school level.
“We have made one major signing; Vincent Mwikhali joins us from Kabras Sugar. We don’t intend to sign any more players apart from 5 youngsters whom we have already identified from high school and they are elated to be joining us,”says Weru.
The side has also released upto three players, whom according to Weru, don’t fit in their plans ahead of the new season.
The three players released are prop Ken Oduor,Tyson Asigo and Rama Mila.
“We have released the three most probably for the reason that they don’t fit with our style and culture,”Weru concludes.
Weru’s charges are on course to defend the Impala Floodlit varsities title after securing a semi final berth last weekend with a resounding 39-3 demolition of Mean Machine II.
