Homeboyz RFC head coach Paul Murunga is full of praise for his charges second half display against Sportpesa Quins in the Impala Floodlit quarter finals.

Homeboyz put up a spirited fight that saw them overturn a 13 point deficit at half-time to oust Quins with a 20-16 scoreline and Murunga attributes this to their second half change of tact.

“The first half was not good for us because we made a lot of mistakes especially on breakdowns and we were somehow confused,”says Murunga.

“In the second half we were able to bring in players with the prowess to spread the ball and this really worked for us since we witnessed minimal contact,” he concludes.

With the quarter final triumph, the Deejays have now booked a date with last year’s runners up KCB who squeezed past Kisii RFC in the other quarter final encounter.
