Kabras RFC coach Charles Cardovillis has heaped praise on rising youngster Dominic Osino after the conclusion of this year’s sevens circuit.
Osino, a homegrown player for the Kakamega-based side played a pivotal role as the Sugar Millers claimed a maiden overall gong in the shorter version of the game and Cardovillis was impressed with his output.
“One player who stood out for me is Dominic Osino. He is a young player and no one expected him to do so.He played a pivotal role in that sweeper position,”Cardovillis told Scrummage.
“It is really commendable for him to be competing for that position with the likes of Brian Tanga,”he added.
Osino was recently drafted into a provisional 42-man Kenya 7s squad ahead of the 2017/18 season.
He is among the longest serving players for the Sugarmillers having grown through the youth ranks since the club’s inception four year’s ago.
