Former Kenya Simbas captain Brian Nyikuli is among three players being lined up by Kenya Cup champions KCB RFC.
The former Homeboyz and Sportpesa Quins backrower currently attached to Strathmore may feature for the bankers at Impala floodlit tournament,according to team manager Ronnie Kangetta.
Other players set to pen deals with the Ruaraka-based side are Quins ace Mclanhan Sikukuu and Nondies centre Joel Maingi.
“If we finalize transfer negotiations on time, fans who turn out for Floodies 2017 will have the first chance to see Brian Nyikuli, Mclanhan Sikukuu & Joel Maingi donning the lion emblazoned jersey. Nyikuli could be joining us from Strathmore, Sikukuu from Quins & Maingi from Nondescripts RUFC,”Kangetta told Impala Saracens.
Kangetta further added that Kenya Simbas players availabilty at the floodies will depend on the decision the national team management takes.
“If the National 15s management allows its players to participate, you’ll definitely see Peter Karia, Oliver Mang’eni amongst others on the Impala Club turf. Our off season preparations have been going on smoothly & we hope that our players display the best of rugby”, he concluded.
KCB will be using the Impala floodlit tournament which gets underway on 4 November,2017 as a warm up to the 2017/18 season.They narrowly lost 33-32 to hosts Impala Saracens in last year’s final.
