Blak Blad coach Michael ‘Tank’ Otieno is satisfied with his side’s perfomance at the final leg of the National 7s circuit, Dala 7s.

The students finished second in pool C behind KCB and they would go on to trounce Impala Saracens in the cup quarters in what would go down as perhaps the biggest upset of the tournament.

“Iam happy for having beaten Impala in the crucial quarter final match, “Otieno told Scrummage.

“Despite loosing to Homeboyz in the semis and Kabras in the 3rd place playoff,I think the boys fought well and we lost honourably. It was a brilliant perfomance from Blak Blad,”he added.

Superceded target

“We have superceded the target that we had set at the beginning of the season by getting into the semi final,”he concluded.

Blak Blad finished the 2017 national 7s circuit at 10th position after accumulating 51 points.
