Menengai Oilers head coach Gibson Weru is disatisfied with his charges display at the concluded Christie 7s.
The Nakuru-based side lost two pool matches on the first day but somehow managed to sneak to the cup quarters where they would fall to Quins and coach Weru admits that their perfomance was below average.
“This is the worst tournament we have had so far although we were in the main cup.Iam unimpressed because this is not the result we wanted,”Weru told Scrummage.
“We only won a single game in the entire tournament which is below average. We are very disappointed with our perfomance,”he added.
“The game against Quins was always going to be hard having played them 3 times already this season. They had extra motivation playing at home.We gave it our all but they were the better side.”he concluded.
Oilers are placed fifth on National 7s Standings ahead of the final leg, Dala 7s.
