Kabras RFC narrowly edged Nakuru 19-12 in the semi final at the ongoing Christie 7s on Sunday 15 October 2017 at RFUEA grounds.
Gramwel Bunyasi gave Wanyore a lead after breaking on the left wing and touched down between the post. Donald Olouch’s conversion pushed the scoreline to 7-0.
Ugandan International Philip Wokorach danced past the Nakuru last man and replied with a try between the post as Dominic Osino converted levelling the scores.
Wokorach added his second at the right corner for a 12-7 lead.
Brian Tanga took advantage Wanyore’s mishandling skills and made a 22 metre sprint for a try while Osino converted for a 19-7 lead at halftime.
In the final half the Nakuru based side responded with a try through Kenyan International Oscar Ouma, but Kabras held on to win the tie 19-12 and book a date with Impala in the final.
