Sportpesa Quins have suffered a huge setback as they will have to do without key player Frank Wanyama for the remaining two legs of the national 7s circuit.

Confirming the development, Quins 7s tactician victor Sudi said that the Kenya 7s international will be out for the remaining part of the national 7s circuit, starting with their home tournament – the Christie 7s slated for this weekend.

“We have lost Frank Wanyama for the remainder of the series due to injury and we wish him a quick recovery.”Sevens coach Victor Sudi told Quins Media.

“Its a big blow for us but we will bank on the rest of the players to build on the successes and lessons learnt from the previous tournaments to carry us through”he added.

Quins are set to face off against Christie 7s defending champions Kabras RFC in pool A at this weekend’s tournament.

Also in the same pool is Strathmore Leos and MKU Thika.

The Ngong Road based side get their campaign underway with a clash against MKU Thika on Saturday morning.
