Western Bulls coach Howard Okwemba has expressed his excitement on the display of his team in the Sepetuka 7s, terming it as a high bar performance.
Echulusi started off their Seputuka 7s campaign with a 14-7 win over Strathmore Leos. In the second match they lost 45-5 to rivals Kabras but recovered in the final match, beating Makueni 24-7 for a maiden quarter final slot this season.
Final day run
The final day saw Bulls fall to Impala but shocked Nakuru to finish at position six. Okwemba has revealed that they are back to business to ensure the do well in the final two legs.
“I am quite happy by the boys improved performance at Sepetuka. They have set the bar higher and increased the tempo from Prinsloo,Okwemba told the club’s official portal.
“Now it’s upon the team to keep it up, and yes they are able to do it. We’re already working tougher for the next legs, Christies and Dala, hoping for the best.” Okwemba added.
The Kakamega based side has now amassed 20 points from the last three legs.
