Menengai Oilers is facing injury concerns after the conclusion of the Sepetuka 7s where the Nakuru based side finished fourth.
Head coach Gibson Weru hopes that they will have a full house at Christie 7s after some of his key players, including Daniel Abuonji picked up injuries over the weekend.
Abuonji who was returning having missed the Prinsloo 7s limped off during the 3rd place playoff clash against Homeboyz and Weru says he wishes to have him available at Christie 7s.
“Some of our players including Daniel Abuonji have picked injuries but since they are not serious,we are waiting for the physio’s assessment and hope that they will be available for Christie 7s,”Weru told Scrummage.
Oilers had a good outing at the Sepetuka 7s winning all their pool matches before a routine quarter final triumph against Sportpesa Quins.
The championship side however fell to Kabras in the quarter final before being denied a 3rd place finish by Homeboyz RFC.
They are currently ranked 4th in the national 7s circuit standings, having collected 58 points after 4 legs.
