KCB head coach Dennis Mwanja admits that the absence of Kenya Simbas trio of Darwin Mukidza,Martin Owilah and Jacob Ojee had an impact in their perfomance at the concluded Sepetuka 7s tournament.

The bankers sneaked into the cup quarters, narrowly falling to eventual winners Kabras but they would redeem themselves with a fifth place final win against Western Bulls and coach Mwanja admits that Mukidza,Ojee and Owila were greatly missed.

“When you miss the services of such experienced players-Mukidza,Ojee and Owila,it definitely has an impact on the overall performance of the team.”

“Simple mistakes have cost us especially in the cup quarter final match against Kabras but nevertheless we settled for the plate,”Mwanja told Scrummage.

The bankers registered a drop on the national 7s circuit standings after the Sepetuka 7s as they currently occupy 6th position having amassed 55 points.
