Kabras RFC are the champions of the inaugural Sepetuka 7s after seeing off Impala 26-7 in the final staged at the Eldoret Sports Club on Sunday 1 October,2017.

Kabras drew first blood as Johnston Mungau touched down for a converted try before Samson Onsomu played a fantastic pass to Mark Kwemoi who went over the whitewash to level the scores for Impala.

The Sugarmillers retook the lead yet again as Dominic Osino went over after a dummy,outpacing the Impala backline but Brian Tanga’s attempted conversion sailed wide.

Tanga then turned provider as he offloaded to Fidel Oloo who touched down between the sticks for a converted try to hand Charles Cardovillis’ charges a 19-7 lead.

Kabras’ Malik Habil was sent to the sin bin but that could not prevent them from piling more miseries on the Sarries as Felix Ayange went over for their fourth try ensuring Kabras won the inaugural Sepetuka 7s with a 26-7 scoreline.

3rd place playoff
Homeboyz finished in third place after a hard fought 17-12 win over Menengai Oilers.Homeboyz opened the scoring as Leonard Mugaisi went over the whitewash before Oilers responded with a try that was converted by Daniel Abuonji.

The Deejays showed their intent of claiming a podium finish as Mugaisi sealed his brace to hand them a lead but Michael Wanjala’s attempted conversion sailed wide off target.

Menengai Oilers skipper Harold Anduvate landed his side’s second try of the match but Abuonji’s conversion was unsuccessful but Homeboyz landed their third try of the match to claim a 17-12 win and finish at third place.

5th place final
After falling to Kabras in the main cup quarter final,KCB found a perfect consolation as they capped their 2017 Sepetuka 7s tournament with a fifth place finish after dismissing Western Bulls 25-10.

Challenge trophy
The challenge trophy went to Strathmore Leos who put up a clinical display that saw them brush aside another university side,Mean Machine 24-17.

13th place final
Catholic Monks managed to run in three unconverted tries,which saw them claim a 15-0 win over Nondies finishing at 13th position in the process.

Division two final
Daystar Falcons were crowned the Sepetuka 7s Division two champions with a 17-12 win over Homeboyz II in a clash which required sudden death to separate the sides.Daystar will now take part in Division one at the Christie 7s slated for October 14 in Nairobi.
