Prinsloo 7s hosts Nakuru RFC started off their campaign with a hard fought 14-10 win over Impala Saracens in the opening clash of the Prinsloo 7s on Saturday, September 23 at the Nakuru Athletic Club.

After a cagey opening period,Nakuru drew first blood with a converted try from Kevin Kioko and took a 7-0 lead to the break.

Impala then responded with Davis Makori’s try and  cut the deficit to 7-5 before Geoff Ominde extended Nakuru’s lead, diving over at the corner as Monate Akwei converted for a 14-5 Nakuru lead.

Impala fought back to claim a second try at the sound of the hooter but that was not enough to hand them a win.

Nakuru will take on Blak Blad in their second Pool A clash as Impala battles Nondies.
