Kabras RFC head coach Charles Cardovillis says that the one week break that the national sevens circuit has taken will come in handy in helping his team recover ahead of the next assignment.
After bowing out of the tournament at the cup quarters at the Driftwood 7s in Mombasa,Kabras went a step further at last weekend’s Kabeberi 7s by making it to the semis where they lost to Impala and Cardovillis says the break will help players to recover from the fatigue.
“The break comes at a right time for us..Fatigue was catching up with most of the players in the team because of the long trips and matches.”
“we shall also use the period to correct our mistakes ahead of the next tournament,”Cardovillis told Scrummage.
Kabras is one of the teams that has been making long road trips to honour the national sevens circuit legs having taken part at the Driftwood 7s before embarking on another long journey from Kakamega to honour the Kabeberi 7s in Nairobi.
