Willy Ambaka’s teammate at Manawatu Turbos,Nehe Milner- Skudder has been handed a start in the All Blacks squad that is set to clash with the Springboks in the rugby championship in Albany on Saturday, September 16.
Milner-Skudder made a return to the All Blacks fold last weekend against Argentina and he has yet again retained his starting place in the New Zealand squad.
Steve Hansen has also handed a surprise full debut to Tasman prop Hames ahead of the more experienced Wyatt Crockett in what has been seen as a gamble in New Zealand rugby circles.
Other players named to start on Saturday morning are Sonny Bill Williams who is set to partner with Ryan Crotty in midfield as well as Aaron Smith who retains the scrumhalf role.
