Kabeberi 7s:Opala's sudden death penalty sends Homeboyz packing
Lucas Opala struck a sudden death penalty as Strathmore Leos stunned Homeboyz RFC 13-10 on Sunday 10 Septemberto sail to the Kabeberi 7s cup semis.
Leonard Mugaisi had touched down for the Deejays before Alex Olaba responded for Strathmore.
Strathmore retook the lead yet again as Albert Obura went over the whitewash at the corner to hand them a 10-5 lead.
Mugaisi went over again to grab his brace and force the match to sudden death.
Moments later Strathmore were awarded a penalty which Opala drilled in to shock the deejays.
In the second cup quarter final,Daniel Abuonji was in time form as he guided the Menengai Oilers to a 31-5 win over Sportpesa Quins a win that sent Gibson Weru’s men to the cup quarters.
