Menengai Oilers and Impala Saracens will contest the cup final at the 2017 Kabeberi 7s after dismissing their opponents in the semis on Sunday September 10.
Oilers had to come from behind to beat Strathmore Leos 19-15 in an entertaining clash which Oilers scored through Harold Aduvate who helped himself to two tries,his 2nd winning try coming after the sound of the hooter.
Meanwhile, Impala Saracens stunned Kabras Sugar 24-15 in a clash which the gazelles controlled proceedings from the onset.
Impala will now have a chance to defend the title they won last year as Oilers make their first appearance in the cup final.
After being stunned by Strathmore Leos in the cup semis,Homeboyz RFC bounced back to beat sportpesa Quins 10-0 courtesy of Leonard Mugaisi’s brace.
Homeboyz will now confront KCB in the 5th place final after the bankers were aided by a brace from Shaban Ahmed as well as tries by Darwin Mukidza and Martin Owilah to dismiss Nondies 26-12.
Mwamba sailed to the final of the Challenge trophy after beating Catholic Monks 31-0.
Duncan Taabu went over twice and set up two mote tries as Steve Sikuta also touched down for the Kabeberi hosts.
Nakuru also qualified for the challenge trophy final after coming from behind to see off Mean Machine 12-7.
The 13th place final will be a clash between Daystar Falcons and Makueni after Daystar stunned Blak Blad 17-12 in the semis as Makueni beat Kisii.
