Hong Kong head coach Leigh Jones believes that the Kenya Simbas took his side lightly thus loosing in Saturday’s test match.
Speaking at the RFUEA grounds after the match, the tactician added that by the time the Simbas found their rhythm in the match, damage had already been done.
“Probably they took us lightly and thought it would be easy having made changes to their squad. They thought by just turning up they would get a result and by the time they woke up, it was too late,” said Jones.
The tactician further added that the 15 changes made to the Simbas squad from last weekend motivated them.
-They made 15 changes and that motivated us and we knew they would not change their game plan so we just had to find a way of stopping their best players,” he concluded.
