Laiser Hill Academy ensured that the East Africa rugby 15s trophy will be returning to Kenya after they convincingly won their final round Robin match.
Going into the last match on Friday, Laiser Hill were well aware of what they needed to secure the title that had proven elusive and they did that well, walloping Ugandan school St.Mary’s Kisubi 64-0 in their final match.
Samuel Were was spectacular in Laiser’s decider match as he laboriously touched down five tries for the Kevin Wambua coached charges.

Laiser added more tries courtesy of Homeboyz flyhalf Johnstone Olindi who helped himself to two tries and a conversion.
Donald Wandago,Frankline Odongo and Kenya U-20 prodigy William Diffu touched down once each to ensure Laiser Hill triumphed at the regional showpiece having missed glory at the nationals held in April.
Other Kenyan representatives Kakamega High and Upper Hill finished in second and third position respectively.The ‘Barberians’ put aside their miseries of falling heavily to Laiser Hill on Wednesday as they narrowly edged Namilyango 13-7.
